It is our pleasure to announce the sixth edition of the conference Dynamical Systems and Applications VI, DSA 2024. The conference will be held on June 26-28, 2024 in Lodz, Poland on the beautiful campus of the Lodz University of Technology under the patronage of JM Rektor, Prof. dr hab. inż. Krzysztof Jóźwik.

The special occasion for this meeting will be a celebration of the 90th birthday of Prof. Avner Friedman whose contributions to the field of differential equations and a multitude of applications are known worldwide. He remains very active scientifically and will give a keynote address.

We invited a panel of distinguished plenary speakers from the United States, United Kingdom, Israel, Romania and Poland. They are renowned for their significant contributions to the wide range of areas in broadly understood field of dynamical systems with special emphasis on application in biomedicine, engineering and finance.

We plan several organized sessions which will include topics of dynamical systems in biology and medicine, dynamical systems in engineering, stochastic processes, differential equations with applications as well as various aspects of control of dynamical systems, including nonlinear and optimal control. Junior researchers will have a chance to present their results in a Poster Session and compete for the Best Poster Award.

Proceedings with selected refereed papers presented at the conference will be published in the journal Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems, series B as a special issue in honor of Prof. Avner Friedman.

The event is a joint venture of the Institute of Mathematics with the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Institute of Automatics of Lodz University of Technology. A special emphasis will be put on interdisciplinary character of the event and interaction between theory and applications.

Scientists from other prominent Polish institutions and abroad are joining forces with us to organize this important scientific event. Co-organizers of the conference, besides the hosting institution include University of Warsaw, University of Lodz, the Jagiellonian University and AGH University of Krakow.
